Dealing with Challenging Behaviours in Aspergers Children
Aspergers, ASD - Autism Spectrum Disorder, Aspie as these people are known as, is a lifelong developmental
disability that affects how they function in their everyday part of life.
They are unable to have the ability to process information from the five senses.
They do not have the understanding of and the ability to participate in the communication process.
They need to learn Learn how to interact with others.
They need to learn to adapt to his/her environment.
Well I certainly have first hand knowledge of this challenging behaviour; as a mother of a child with Aspergers I have my good days and bad days. As much as my son has his good days and bad days also. I still make mistakes and I'm still learning more everyday on how to deal with my child. In my frustration, tiredness, repetitiveness and having to diligently be consistent has it own challenging issues. I still have to keep a smile on my face and my tone of voice the same.
As a single mother I still have to deal with everyday life, two children, a full time job and my Asperger child, I am amazed how I still keep on going. I tell myself keep breathing and keep walking one foot in front of the other.
I know the hard work put into being a single mother with three children, will pay off in the long run. One of my sayings in life is "what you put into your family you will reap the rewards". This may not happen straight away but it will happen. If you don't have hope in life what do you have.
This is my first article of many more articles to come so I thought to start with explaining a little bit about myself and my wonderful life. I am so excited that I can now share my everyday lifes experiences with you. To have the opportunity to share with other mothers and carers about my life is a previledge to me, I beleive I have alot to share.
