BABY WIPES
A must have for everything..…from cleaning your workspace, your hands, your stamps and in some really cool techniques.
COLUZZLE
Mark your coluzzle rings with a permanent marker by numbering each ring all the way around.
COLORED EMBOSSING
Stamp first in versamark, top boss or perfect medium and then onto your dye ink pad. Emboss with clear embossing powder.
EMBOSSING
When embossing it is always good to heat set the embossing powder first from underneath the card at the site of the stamped image. This stops you from losing any embossing powder when you directly heat set the image on top.
MOUNTING STAMPS
If you have an image with words underneath it that are too close to the image, you might want to split them up when mounting them so they can be used individually.
PHONE BOOKS
Love this idea, anything to put to use those phone books. Great for those messy projects when gluing or stamping where the stamping will be larger than the cardstock or where you need to compress your projects. All you have to do is open up a new page of the phone book each time you need to make a mess. This avoids messy glue stick glue etc on your work space which could end up on your finished card.
REMOVE CARD LAYERS
Use the Heat Gun on top or underneath layers on card to remove them after they have been adhered down (works great if you adhered layer crooked or if you want to remove layer from one card front to put on another card front).
SCRAP PAPER STORAGE
Take some page protectors and put them in a binder. Use the tag punch to make a tag with a scrap of each color and staple the tag to the side of each page protector to easily identify the colors of scraps that will be in it.
Put all scraps of similar color within each page protector in the binder. This is an inexpensive and easy way to keep your scraps organized and at your fingertips when you want them.
STAMPING ON HANDMADE PAPER
If you want a detailed image (or text) on you handmade paper just stamp it on white tissue paper with permanent ink. Then lay this on your wet handmade paper. It will adhere to your paper and you will not see the tissue! No more worry about bumpy paper not stamping well!
SWIFFER CLOTH
Keep a Swiffer sweeper cloth handy to clean up excess glitter, etc from cardstock and table.
TOOTHPICKS
Keep a box of toothpicks nearby to add glue or bling to your card.
STICKY SCISSORS
Wipe scissor blades gently in Versa Mark pad before cutting your stamps, this keeps your blades from getting sticky.
To clean scissors eucalyptus oil is great for this.
WHITE A4 SIZE SCRAP PAPER
Always keep a pile of white A4 scrap paper near your work space, great for testing colour ink pads with your cardstock for creating scrapbooking and cardmaking designs.
ZIPLOCK CONTAINERS
Keep your embossing powders, glitters and bling, etc in Ziplock containers. Leave a small spoon inside the container to be used as a scoop. This makes it easier to use and easier to clean up.
